Dr. Tim Salkowski PT, DPT, COMT
CEO/Founder of Anchorline Physical Therapy & Wellness
Dr. Tim Salkowski founded Anchorline Physical Therapy & Wellness after seeing too many patients receive rushed, cookie-cutter care in high-volume clinics.
A Doctor of Physical Therapy from Rutgers University, Dr. Tim has spent his career helping active adults, athletes, and older adults overcome pain, recover from injury, and return to the activities they love. He has completed advanced training in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT), Integrated Kinetic Neurology (IKN), and Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training, combining evidence-based rehabilitation with performance-focused strength development.
Before founding Anchorline, Dr. Tim managed a busy outpatient physical therapy clinic, where he saw firsthand how traditional models often force therapists to divide their attention among multiple patients at once. While efficient, that approach can leave patients feeling unheard, underserved, and stuck in cycles of recurring pain.
Anchorline was built to be different.
Every evaluation and treatment session is delivered one-on-one. Every plan is individualized. Every recommendation is based on the person sitting in front of him—not a protocol, insurance requirement, or generic exercise sheet.
Dr. Tim's philosophy is simple: pain relief is only the beginning. The real goal is helping people move better, feel stronger, build confidence in their bodies, and return to life without constantly worrying about the next setback.
Born and raised in Palmyra, Dr. Tim is proud to serve the community that helped shape him and now lives in Riverton with his wife, Natalia.
What Our Clients Say
“Working with Tim has been completely different from any other PT experience I’ve had. This isn’t the typical clinic setup where you’re rushed through exercises while your therapist rotates between 3–4 patients. Every session was intentional, focused, and one-on-one.
He takes the time to do a deep evaluation not just of the injury, but also lifestyle, sports, and long-term goals. His attention to detail and ability to explain the ‘why’ behind everything made a huge difference in my progress and confidence.
As a swimmer, I use lots of different muscles, and he was able to explain what muscles hurt, why they hurt, what exercises may have caused the pain, and the alternatives so it wouldn’t come back. He worked me through my injuries and got me back in the water as soon as possible — and now I’m back to breaking records.
On top of that, Tim is someone you genuinely enjoy working with. He’s knowledgeable, professional, extremely personable, and one of the funniest guys I know. I actually enjoyed going to PT, unlike other places where it felt hopeless and boring.
If you’re looking for real, individualized care — not standard, assembly-line physical therapy — I highly recommend working with Tim. I’ve gone to him multiple times for different injuries, and each time he gets me back out there while making PT fun.”
- Riley, TCNJ Athlete
“I originally started working with Tim about 6 years ago with a knee injury that wouldn’t go away. After a few sessions with Tim I was already seeing improvement, and a month later I was back to squatting maximal weight.
Since then, Tim has been my go-to for all injuries and impingements, big or small. He’s quick to answer and get me into the door, and I’m back to training within a few sessions.
Tim doesn’t just diagnose and heal the injury, he’ll work with you to find its root cause so that it can be prevented from happening again. Rather than relying on generic rehab exercises, he utilizes a variety of techniques and movements tailored to my specific limitations and abilities. It felt very individualized, and each progression made sense for where I was at.
For anyone reading this and thinking about contacting Tim, do it. Although extremely professional, working with Tim has felt like working with a close friend. He is a wealth of knowledge, and I always returned to sport shortly after our first sessions.”
- Steve, CrossFit Athlete
I started working with Dr.Tim a year ago after experiencing the worst pain of my life! The sciatica pain I endured seemed to have come out of nowhere and immobilized me immediately. With Tim’s help, I was able to sleep and sit more comfortably and regain a lot of strength. My condition did ultimately result in surgery but I was back at Dr.Tim’s table within 4 weeks and on my now very strong feet. At 44, and a very stressful, long hours desk job, mobility is top of mind for me now. Physical therapy is no longer a response in my mind, but rather a part of a maintenance program! I have been back to a 5 days a week exercise schedule that ranges from Pilates to CrossFit like classes and seeing Dr.Tim once a month helps me stay in control of whatever soreness I am experiencing. I’ve learned a lot on form and injury prevention from him, and plan on a continued journey to my strongest self!

Your Questions, Answered
What can I expect during the initial evaluation?
Your first session is a comprehensive, one-on-one assessment designed to uncover the true drivers of your pain. We’ll review your history, discuss your goals, and perform a detailed movement analysis guided by orthopedic principles and a neuroanatomical approach to function.
By the end of the session, you’ll have clarity — not just about what hurts, but why — along with a structured plan tailored specifically to you.
How quickly will I see results?
Many clients notice measurable improvements within the first few sessions, especially with recent or acute injuries. Chronic or recurring conditions often require a more structured progression to create lasting change.
Our focus is not just short-term relief, but restoring strength, movement quality, and long-term resilience so results actually hold.
Do you accept insurance?
Anchorline is a direct-pay practice, which allows us to provide highly personalized, one-on-one care without the limitations often imposed by traditional insurance models. However, we do accept Medicare, as it is the only insurance that works well with our one-on-one model.
While we do not bill insurance directly, we can provide detailed documentation if you wish to pursue out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients also use Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) to pay for their care.
